The Fukushima nuclear disaster displaced more than 140,000 people. It is still a radiation crisis that will continue for decades. Even though safe, clean alternatives like solar and wind are springing up all over Japan, the nuclear industry and pro-nuclear government are determined to repeat these mistakes.
We must stop them.
The next battleground is a prefecture with the highest concentration of nuclear plants in Japan. The governor of Kyoto is facing immense pressure from the nuclear lobby to support -- or at least keep silent about -- the restart of risky nuclear reactors in his backyard. But we know he will listen to voices from outside Japan.
Tell him to stand strong. Say no to nuclear power, and yes to renewables!
