Join us for a peaceful protest to save our rivers in Canterbury, this September.
Big irrigation schemes drive conversions to intensive dairying and these new schemes would put 10s of thousands more cows on the land. More cows means more sick rivers and sick rivers means sick people.
With the Hawkes Bay community, we put a stop the Ruataniwha dam. Now it’s time to focus on Canterbury where several more big schemes are planned.
Join us in September to stand up for our rivers again and demand an end to these huge publicly funded irrigation schemes.
