UK government: Stop the industrial fishing frenzy

BREAKING: Greenpeace activists have placed boulders off the Cornish coast to stop the huge weighted nets of industrial fishing vessels destroying the ocean floor.

This is a last resort. If the government did their job to protect the oceans properly, we wouldn’t need to take matters into our own hands - but they are failing us. Every day destructive fishing vessels tear up miles upon miles of the UK’s precious ecosystems in so-called Marine Protected Areas, while the government sits back and allows it.

In a week’s time we’ll have a new Prime Minister and Environment Secretary in place and a fresh opportunity to convince them to take the action needed to stop destructive fishing. Can you join Greenpeace activists in sending a powerful message to the future government? Tell the next government to act, and ban industrial fishing in all Marine Protected Areas!
