Stop sponsoring the deep sea mining industry

The UK government claims to support a pause on deep sea mining. So why are they granting exploration licences to companies seeking to mine the sea floor?

Why is this important?

Greedy businesses, emboldened by Donald Trump, plan to carve up our ocean. They want to line their pockets by mining and destroying the incredible world lying at the bottom of the sea.

By sponsoring shady companies to explore the sea floor, they are putting dangerous actors one step closer to mining. The deep sea is home to increible anicent life, including whales.

We can stop the devastation before it even starts, but the UK government needs to stand up and pick a side.
