Why is this important?

The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. And a big cause of this is the use of toxic chemicals pushed on farmers by the big pesticide companies.

Right now, the UK is still using pesticides that are already banned in the EU because they can harm birds and mammals. And also threaten our health, our fertility, even unborn babies.

The UK government is working on a deal that could see these toxic chemicals quickly banned here too. But lobbyists from powerful pesticide companies are trying to stop this from happening.
