IT'S TIME FOR NSW TO #BANTHEBAG.

Did you know that New South Whales is the last state to ban single-use plastic bags? All of the other States have successfully implemented a bag ban, or are planning to soon. With our coeans at crisis point, we can't wait any longer. It’s time for New South Wales to step up and take plastic bags off the menu for marine life.

Sign the petition and call on the State Environment Minister of NSW to ban plastic bags now.

SIGN THE PETITION: BAN THE BAG IN NSW

PlASTIC POLLUTION IS OUT OF CONTROL

About a truckload of plastic enters our oceans every minute. It's chocking marine life, and new studies have found that it's even ending up in our own bodies. And get this: NSW is one of the biggest waste producers per capita.

With a state election coming up, we have a unique opportunity to show the major parties that plastic pollution is a major issue for voters. We can win this if we show our strength together, right now. And when we win this, we will have substantially cut one of the largest sources of plastic pollution in NSW.

Let's get this done, NSW!

Sign the petition: Tell the NSW Environment Minister, Gabrielle Upton, to immediately commit to banning the bag in NSW.

To Gabrielle Upton, NSW Environment Minister:

Plastic pollution is killing our marine life. 30% of the world’s turtles and 90% of seabird species have now ingested plastic debris.

We have no time to lose. I call on you to immediately ban single-use plastic bags in NSW.
